He's Here. Andy Ryan The-DallasCowboys.com Staff Writer April 23, 2008 05:37 PM Like it or not, Adam "Pacman" Jones is now officially going to be rocking a Dallas uniform next year. The Cowboys, who haven't kept a secret about their trade interest in getting Pacman from Tennessee, finally completed the deal Tuesday evening. The Cowboys will send a 4th round pick in this years draft to the Titans in exchange for the troubled corner. Originally, Dallas didn't want to have to give up anything better than a 5th round pick, but now apparently gave in. Pacman, who still isn't even cleared to play in the NFL this year, will come to a team who needs help in the secondary. Dallas lost Jacques Reeves and Nate Jones this offseason and clearly needed to add some depth to the cornerback position. Look for the Cowboys to still draft a young cornerback on Saturday or Sunday. The Cowboys completed the trade on a performance based offer. The deal includes situations such as Pacman getting reinstated by Roger Goodell, and the significance of his playing time on the team. If he plays a significant amount of the snaps, the 'Boys have agree'd to send an additional pick to the Titan's in the 2009 draft (likely a 4th-5th round pick). Likewise, if he doesn't get reinstated, the Titan's will send the Cowboy's a pick in the 2009 draft as well. Jones' contract will be restructured by the Cowboys following the conclusion of the trade. Pacman reached an agreement with the Titan's concerning his current contract, having to pay $500,000 of charity of the Titan's choice sometime over the next two years.
