What’s Next?

After completing the rookie mini-camp this past weekend, Dallas Cowboys football should be pretty low key for a few weeks until they start the Organized Team Activity sessions.  The first sessions of OTA’s will be from May 20th to May 22nd.  The following week will feature another OTA session beginning May 27th until the 29th.  The final two sessions of the OTA’s will be in June – the 3rd till 5th and the following week again from the 10th until the 12th.

After the completion of the four OTA sessions, the Cowboys will be hosting another mini-camp.  This one, however, will feature the entire roster rather than just the rookies, undrafted free agents, and first year players that the first mini-camp was entitled to.    The camp is scheduled to run from June 17th until June 19th.

Danny Amendola

It may be too soon to tell whether Amendola is as good as he looked during the rookie mini-camp.

Later in the summer, the team will be traveling back to Oxnard, CA where they will host this years training camp.  It will be the Cowboys’ first training camp back in Oxnard since the 2006 season, and first since Wade Phillips became coach.

The Cowboys will be able to get a better look at the rookies and undrafted free agents that they signed come June 17th, when those players will be going up against veterans and more experienced players rather than just each other.
